First and foremost, Happy New Year everyone! I have two blog posts I want to write today, this one to tell you all about our awesome New Year’s party that we went to, and one for all my “resolutions” which I normally don’t do but my resolutions are different this year. You will see what I mean later.
So, the last week or so, my friend and I were trying to talk Mike in to going to this party at our buddy’s house for New Year’s Eve. He wanted to go, but it’s a 45 minute drive. He didn’t want to have to drive all that way, plus being on New Years when all the drunks, crazies, and stupids are out. I totally understand. I was disappointed though because we always go to their parties for New Years Eve.
We were going back and forth the past few days about what we were going to do. Dinner and go see a movie? Dinner and stay home and watch a movie? Dinner, movie, and sledding? Yea, no idea. There was a lot of ideas passed around, ultimately it basically came down to the last 10 minutes when we decided we were going to the party.
Well, our friends came over and we went out to dinner together. After throwing around ideas for how to continue the night, we decided to go to our friends party. Regardless of the drive, it was pretty much tradition that we have done for a few years now. I was happy, I really wanted to go.
Gwenn and I started off the night early with a shot. We went to dinner at T.G.I.Friday’s and we had a drink there too (margarita for me). It was one of those things. I mean, I never go out and get the chance to party too much. So I said “Fuck it. I never get the chance to party and have a good time. I am going to go out, drink whatever, get a little drunk. I deserve it!” That’s exactly what I did. I had a little bit of this, a little bit of that. “You want to take a shot with me!?” Surrrre. Why not? Hell, its New Years Eve!
Yea. I regret that later on that night after the car ride home. -bleh- I also regret it this morning when I woke up. I’m hung over to say the least.
Highlights of the night included, but not limited to:
- I got 99% on hard while singing Wonderwall by Oasis on Rockband!
- I drank butterscotch schnapps (which is REALLY hard to say when you’re drunk, btw) for the first time. Yum!
- I met a lot of new people. Some were cool…
- Mike and I actually kissed at midnight. He got in big trouble, last year, or possibly two years ago, because he didn’t kiss me at all at midnight. It upset me, and I made sure that he knew it.
- Everyone had a good time. Which was awesome. Sometimes, most of the time, some people aren’t having a good time because bickering or bastards arise. This year, everyone had a good time, which made me happy.
- I attempted to get my friend Myles kissed, flashed, and/or laid… that was fun.

Gosh, I miss New Year’s parties. I used to go to the “love of my life”‘s parties – but with the 1 year old, I can’t. Plus he has a girl now so I know I’d be depressed, lol. Hey, the guy in the second pic is kinda cute, lmao.
I’m glad you had fun…hopefully next year I can get out. I never been kissed at the midnight drop….*sigh* Ok, this is turning into a depressed comment, lol. At least I was able to drink some Buds.
Yes, I always try to make these layouts and it takes forever just to figure a color scheme….drives me nuts. I know this will be plain, but I just don’t have as much time as before, ya know?

No worries about it being a “depressing” comment. I was the same way when I was single. I didn’t even want to go out ot parties because of the whole not having someone for new years kiss thing. You’ll have your moments hunny!
What’s funny is that I believe this was the first year in the past 5 that Mike and I have been together that he actually kissed me at the Ball Drop. It was a peck on the forehead then on the lips. I’ll eventually convince him to give me a full blown kiss. LOL

Awh, that sounds like an adorable kitty! My kitty (the momma of all the babies) wasn’t very loveable. Thankfully, after she got pregnant, she started becoming pretty nice. She still doesn’t some sit on your lap or anything, but she comes to you and let’s you pet her for longer than 2 seconds.
Oh no, I don’t drink and I never really see the point in it, lol. BUT at least you had fun and kind of got to let loose, I know you’ve had a lot of stress lately, so you probably had some fun
