Today is Nick’s 14th birthday! Happy Birthday, Nick! For his birthday we celebrated by making him a triple chocolate cake, per his request, his best friend Donovan slept over, I even went as far as had arranged for Mikhail to sleep over at his friend’s house so he wouldn’t be in his hair. Donovan and Nick had a sleepover with video game playing until midnight, then hung out in his room for an hour before going to bed. Here are some pictures for you:

I hope your birthday was everything you want it to be, even though we have to do things like getting a haircut, heaven forbid.  But we gotta get ready for …

Countdown to Disney

The countdown is on! Well, it always has been on but I haven’t paid much attention to the countdown, not until it was 10 days left, and now we’re down to 5 days until Disney.

Well, it’s four days if you are my brother-in-law and future sister-in-law. LOL, It’s been an argument for the past month. “No, it’s these many days! No, it’s these many days!”

We have gotten our suitcases packed and then packed again, and then repacked again. Mikhail’s suitcase was the first to be packed.

I have to go through it yet again because I need to make more room in it. He needs more room, people! I have to fit an entire pair of shoes in that suitcase yet! Oh lordy. I will probably go into each suitcase at least 15 more times over the next few days.

One more day of work

I only have one more day of work. I work on Monday and then I took off the rest of the week. Hip hip hooray! I work on Monday and then I have my typical day off on Tuesday. I took off Wednesday and Thursday, then we leave sometime around 3 am on Friday. Ugh, yea, we leave at 3 am on Friday. It’s going to be a VERY long day. I hope the boys sleep on the plane. I can only cross my fingers and hope that everyone is on their best behavior that day. I can only keep my expectations low because that’s a lot to ask two boys. “Go to bed ‘early’ so you can wake up at 2:30 am and get ready to go to DISNEY WORLD!” I’m too excited to sleep! That will be me. I’ll be so worried about how this vacation is going to go that I will be too excited to sleep.

I did my nails! It is a VERY rough draft… I have tried about four times now and each time I get a little better but not good enough.

So sloppy. It is not as nice as I would want it to be. I’m going to take off all the nail polish on Tuesday, and while the boys are at school I am going to do them over the course of a couple of hours. Paint, dry, paint, top coat, paint, dry, paint, top coat, Mickey heads, paint, top coat, dry. We’ll see how it goes when I’m not being interrupted every five minutes.

So yea, five days… I think I’m ready. This might be the last time I write before I go. I hope the trip goes as well as we’re planning for. Sure things will happen and pop up, there will be a level of irritation that everyone will have been in such close quarters.

We will see how it goes. Wish me luck.

So, here’s how my pages turned out

So, last entry I told you about how I planned on printing Hannah Lynn pages on brown Kraft paper. My paper and printer ink arrived and I printed off my favorites on the paper. I have colored two pages since then and I absolutely LOVE how they turned out.

Between my Facebook, my Hannah Lynn group, and my Prismacolor combinations group, I got well over 200 likes, loves, and WOW’s for these two pages. People were in shock and awe of the pages. I was so proud of them. For three days my Facebook BLEW UP in notifications. I’m incredibly happy with how they turned out.

I guess, I really need to start my day. I’ve only slept in until 10 am. Mike’s grandma is coming down from up north to see the house. She will be here tomorrow, ya know when we’re all at school/work. Ugh. *grumble grumble* She wants to see the house, and Mike’s mom said “She wants to see if we’re taking care of the place.” or whatever. Fucking whatever. I am super anxious about it. I don’t appreciate people coming into our house while we’re gone at work to ‘check things out’ – family or not. If it was some other tenant, they wouldn’t allow her to just go to their house to ‘check to see if things are being taken care of’ because she’s the owner. The whole thing irritates me, but whatcha gonna do. She lets us live here for very cheap and yes, she’s family and owns the place. I guess we gotta do what we gotta do. But we’ve been cleaning the house and running around like chickens without our heads which has made me MANIC.

Ok, I don’t know what I did but I just made my CSS coding for my website on the actual write your blog post on WordPress so it looks goofy so I’m going to end this here. Talk to you again soon? Or much later… we will see. Wish me luck on my trip.

That cake sounds sooooo good! You did a fantastic job with those coloring pages, excellent idea with the Kraft paper. I can’t think of anything else to say that I haven’t said on FB, just (once again) enjoy your vacation!!
