So we named our kitty! We named her Gizmo. Well, the boys mainly named her. Mike and I simply agreed to the name because we didn’t hate it. So Gizmo stuck.

So, Gizmo. It works. She’s already learning that is her name. It got picked and stuck so that’s said and done.

She’s been a naughty kitty. We put up our tree last weekend but didn’t add any extra lights or ornaments. She’s been known to climb into it.

We love her, though. She’s a sweet kitty who loves the boys.

I scrapbooked a page of our week last week. I’ll just include it here.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks. I feel so bad for not writing in this more. I spend a good chunk of money on hosting each month and for what? A simple blog no one reads. I contemplated just getting a blogger blog and calling it a day. I would have to get rid of the Eternal Amour name, though. I am not sure I’m ready to do that just yet. I even contemplated making this blog public just to get more readers. Honestly, do I want my family reading this? *shrugs* I don’t really write anything bad anymore. I’m pretty civil in most of my posts. I’m not sure what I’m going to do. I get a free domain with my hosting package so it’s not like I’m paying for EA each year. I am paying $120 for hosting, though, which is ridiculous for what I use it for. I am hoping to spread the word on Twitter more about my blog and get more readers that way.

Black Friday

So, today was black Friday. I originally scheduled off work over a month ago. It was declined. Whatever. I was scheduled to work 5:45 am until 2pm originally. I got my shift changed to 5:45 am until 10am very quickly without much effort. The boys were going to be home alone. Sure they spent lots of time home alone over the summer. Sure, Lynn would be home but asleep on the couch next door. I wasn’t sure I was ready to work a full 8 hours during a very busy, crazy time. I copped out but I was willing to work until 2 if need be. The boss man changed my schedule to work until 10 and I was cool with that.

So this morning came, I woke up at 4:05 am. I set my silent alarm on my Fitbit so I wouldn’t wake up Mike. I got up and got ready. I drank my coffee in silence for about an hour before I heard Mike stirring upstairs. He came down the stairs and said “I Love You” to me and I headed out. I arrived at work around 5:35am and waited until someone else went inside with me. I ate a donut and listened to the pep talk that started the day. The doors opened and two people walked in. Then two more people walked in… Then nothing. Two of those people went right over to print where the computers and deals were. I rang out two people and my coworker rang out two more people. That was it. We stood around talking for a while. No one else was coming. Boss man got a little panicked. He offered to have my sick coworker go home but she declined. He asked me about 20 minutes later and I said sure! He thanked me a few times saying it would help out the company tremendously. I had no issues going home. He apologized for having me wake up so early to be there only to send me home. I assured him it was glorious being up early to watch the news and sip my coffee with no interruptions and that I might even make a habit of doing it. I walked out and left the store after only being there for one hour. I came home and took a deep breath and unwound from prepping myself up for some extravagant ordeal that never happened.

I spent the rest of the day just relaxing. I ran to the store to get some groceries and too much of my surprise there was barely anyone there. I attempted to nap for a while but with no such luck. I drank FAR too much coffee. Like, unsafe amounts of coffee. I didn’t care. I was trying to stay calm while being VERY crabby and tired.

In fact, I’m exhausted. I think I’m going to put Mikhail to bed and head to bed myself. So, goodnight everyone.

I’m a bit torn about my blog. I’m just not feeling inspired. It seems I’m at my most creative when I’m in my worst mental state, which is a bit disconcerting. I’m glad you have Gizmo, and I enjoy his pictures.

Gizmo is adorable! :) I hope you guys are having fun with her! Black cats are great :3

I can’t believe how big the boys have gotten, and I hope you and the family are doing well.
