2009 Here We Come!

[Edit] Mikhail has a cold and has been keeping me plenty busy. I’ve gotten no sleep at all this weekend so I’m beyond exhausted. Nickolas isn’t helping the situation much so needless to say I’ve got my hands full. I’ll be posting a new blog soon![/edit]

Well, first and foremost, Happy New Year everyone. May your 2009 be great! Yesterday, very uneventful to say the least. We were under full impression that we didn’t have a babysitter and that we were stuck at home. [We asked Mike's mom probably two months ago if she would babysit, and she said "He'll be three weeks old. That means every two hour feedings! I'll never sleep." So, we never asked again because we figured the answer was plainly, no.] So, we invited Adam and Gwenn over to hang out. Gwenn and I had to run to the store and such so we headed to Target to look at what Christmas clearance stuff they had left and we wanted Starbucks. Well, while getting Starbucks I received a phone call from Mike’s Mom asking where the boys were. I was extremely confused. She’s like, “Well, I thought I was babysitting. Why aren’t they here?” Uhm…?! “You said that you wouldn’t watch him because you’d have to get up every few hours.” She laughed. “I was just joking around.” Yea, I’m pretty much just pissed off now. “Well, you said that, so I figured it was a no. That’s why we never asked you again. I actually have been pretty mad about the whole thing cause I wanted to so badly go out tonight because it would be my first time to get out and stuff after the pregnancy.” Uhm. Yea. Shitty. So, she called this morning to apologize. She was only joking around when mentioning having to wake up for the boys. I’m pretty sure I made her feel really bad about the whole thing.

Needless to say, I was extremely irritated about the whole thing. I’ve gotten over it though.So, Gwenn and I went and got dinner for us. We basically just hung out and watched some TV. We played Mario Party 8 on the Wii. Nothing exciting. We had to keep telling Mike, “Only 20 minutes left, wake up!” because he was so exhausted. So, although we didn’t go out. It was enjoyable. I really love hanging out with Adam and Gwenn because we’re not obligated to find a babysitter ever single time. I really appreciate their ability to come to us because our inability to go out with the boys all the time. They’re great friends. (Yes Gwenn, since you do read this, you can say “Awe” again. You seem to always do that when I say thanks to you guys.) Just have to make sure you know you’re appreciated. ^_^

So, whats new for 2009? Nothing yet. Its only been 12 hours and 26 minutes into 2009 so far. I don’t really have any resolutions for this year that are massively huge. Well, here is what I can think of;

- Continue to not smoke. I’m going on two weeks without a cigarette. Great! Right? I’m trying as hard as I possibly can. I still am trying to tell myself that I want this and that it’s for the best, but that’s hard. I’m also still having my occasional crazy cravings. These happen the most when I go outside.

- Lose weight? Meh. Usually that’s a HUGE New Years Resolution. I lost over 40lbs during my pregnancy, so I’m the smallest I’ve been in probably a year or two. I’m not going to stress to lose more weight, maybe just try really hard not to put it all back on.

- Continue to have a great relationship with Mike. I hope that things don’t change and we continue to do as good as we have been doing. We will be celebrating our Four Year Anniversary on the 8th. That just boggles my mind. We’ve been together for four years. We haven’t killed each other yet.

So, nothing huge. I really don’t have much else to say. Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve!
